Neighborhood
Biltmore at Camelback sits in the Biltmore neighborhood of Phoenix, inside the City of Phoenix's Camelback East Village and at the centre of the 24th Street & Camelback Road village core — a 5.6 million square foot concentration of office and retail.
The surrounding Camelback Corridor runs roughly from 24th to 32nd Streets along Camelback Road. Arcadia begins about two and a half miles east, Paradise Valley is just north, and Old Town Scottsdale is under seven miles away.
Very few Phoenix addresses let you walk to this much. Biltmore Fashion Park is about two tenths of a mile from the front door — a genuine walk, not a drive — and the Camelback Esplanade office campus is next door. The Arizona Biltmore resort and the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club are under a mile away.
The neighborhood takes its name and its architectural character from that 1929 resort, and the community's own design carries the geometry forward — including the coffered hexagonal ceiling in the clubhouse. Camelback Mountain and Piestewa Peak are both visible from select homes and a short drive to the trailhead.
Within a mile: shop and dine at Biltmore Fashion Park (0.2 mi), play the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club's two 18-hole courses (0.9 mi), or take in the city from the Wrigley Mansion, a 1931 landmark on the hill (0.9 mi).
Hikers have the Piestewa Peak trailhead about 2 miles north and Echo Canyon on Camelback Mountain about 4 miles east. Granada Park is under 2 miles. Sky Harbor International Airport is roughly a 15-minute drive.
Biltmore at Camelback is served by Madison Elementary School District No. 38 and the Phoenix Union High School District. Camelback High School (4612 N 28th St) is about three tenths of a mile away.
Independent and magnet options nearby include Villa Montessori (0.4 mi), Biltmore Preparatory Academy (1.0 mi), Phoenix Country Day School (1.6 mi), and Xavier College Preparatory and Brophy College Preparatory (about 2.5 mi).
Yes — the Camelback Corridor is one of metro Phoenix's primary office submarkets, with roughly 8.4 million square feet of office space and more than 30,000 professionals working between 24th and 32nd Streets. It concentrates law, finance, wealth management, healthcare and commercial real estate.
The Camelback Esplanade, immediately next door, houses CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Newmark, DLA Piper, Perkins Coie, Gallagher & Kennedy, Taft, Grant Thornton, UBS, Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo and Prologis, among others. Biltmore Center at 24th & Camelback, Camelback Collective and The Bond add several hundred thousand more square feet — the last two with Industrious coworking on site.
For many residents here, the commute is a walk across Camelback Road.
Valley Metro Route 50 runs along Camelback Road directly in front of the community, connecting west toward Central Avenue and east to Scottsdale. Route 70 runs north–south on 24th Street about a third of a mile west, with service toward Sky Harbor. Route 32 terminates at 28th Street & Camelback, two tenths of a mile east, and Route 41 serves Indian School Road to the south.
The nearest light rail stop is Central Avenue / Camelback on the Valley Metro B Line, about three miles due west with a park-and-ride — a direct trip on Route 50.
All within a mile: Safeway (3132 E Camelback Rd, 0.6 mi), Trader Joe's (4821 N 20th St, 0.8 mi), Whole Foods Market (4701 N 20th St, 0.8 mi), Fry's Food & Drug (4724 N 20th St, 1.0 mi) and Sprouts Farmers Market (2824 E Indian School Rd, 1.0 mi). AJ's Fine Foods is about 2.3 miles east.
For shopping, Biltmore Fashion Park is a two-tenths-of-a-mile walk and anchors the area's open-air retail and dining.
The Biltmore is one of the few genuinely walkable pockets of Phoenix — mature landscaping, wide sidewalks, and a dense mix of offices, restaurants and shopping rather than a single-use district. It is established rather than emerging: the resort dates to 1929 and the office corridor to the 1980s.
Dining within about a mile includes The Capital Grille, True Food Kitchen, Blanco Cocina + Cantina, Pomo Pizzeria, Zinburger and The Cheesecake Factory at Biltmore Fashion Park; Yellowbell at The Camby; The Gladly and The Macintosh west on Camelback; and Geordie's at the Wrigley Mansion.
Yes. Biltmore at Camelback hosts monthly resident events — poolside gatherings, coffee mornings in the clubhouse and seasonal parties. Upcoming events are posted in the resident portal and on the community boards.
